I'm being punished for bragging about our sweet ride while we had the rented BMW. For my TDY I have a VW Polo: 1200 cc of three-cylinder German muscle. On the autobahn I had it up to 172 kph. Downhill. And only for a few seconds. It was turning 5500 rpm. Red line is 5800. Paige, it's the VW version of that Fiesta you had. A guy cut me off going uphill, and I thought I'd never get it back to 130.
Girl version: I have a silver rental car.

Dude, you were doing 107mph in a "Fiesta". I conclude that a) you're overstating the Fiesta equivalence, b) German engineering counts for more than I had appreciated, and/or c) you're braver than I thought.
Believe me, this Polo is a piece of... well, it could be compared to the 1992 red Mazda the girls drove for 9 years after we bought it in 1997. Pretty much nothing but wheels.
Maybe Travis is slightly a bit ascue with his c)item. If "braver"were changed to "foolhardier", I would conclude that all of the above applies. Of course I know whereof you speak from driving a 2001 Focus of German descent and with no power.
